Polling shows race in a statistical tie heading into the last week of early voting

Austin, TX – According to a statewide poll completed on Saturday by Public Policy Polling (PPP) and sponsored by Democrats for Education Reform Texas, Colin Allred trails Ted Cruz by only three points with just over a week until election day. The poll shows Cruz at 49%, Allred at 46%, Libertarian Ted Brown at 3%, and 2% undecided. The margin of error is +/- 4.1%. The full poll can be seen here. 

Consistent with other statewide polling released in recent weeks, the poll sponsored by Democrats for Education Reform Texas shows the race for the United States Senate is a dead heat heading into the final week of early vote.
